“The sky seemed to cry for me,
A dark age lost in grief,
Heaven, force-fled in misery,
And yet disdain spawns release.”
Through swirling snows, a sea of ghosts
Reaching out to me
A searing glow from a hearth of stone
Takes me in
She weaves the end
An arrow of mistletoe
To strike true and make me whole
Again
A journey long since begun leads here
Flickering light from under the door
Icicles as thick as shipyard rope
Bar the windows - a chilled warning
The smell of cloves, incense and fur
Blood, nails and tar
What have I stumbled upon
This wretched place
I fear no sanctuary lies within
The arrow pierces deep
A pain so strangely new
Vulnerable, exquisite, raw

Guitars sound like flaming lava, riffs melting into one another while moving slowly across everything and destroying everything - the plaintive and bruised cries for help over it all add a weight that sinks you beneath the earth. The sound is as clear as the soul is dark. Jono Schneider
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022
《 So many questions 》
— "Rest", Inevitable. NONE.
L'incertitude, l'angoisse... Jordan Vauvert
